Exploring 4-H
Exploring 4-H is a program for any child who is in the first or second grade (1 or 2). Exploring 4-H’ers are not required to attend meetings, but are encouraged to attend the special activities planned for them. The Exploring 4-H’er and his or her family work together to complete their project. There is no competition in the Exploring program and all youth who complete an exhibit for the fair receive the same blue completion ribbon, pin and certificate. Judges comment sheets are provided.
Project manuals contain suggested activities to help the Exploring 4-H'er learn about their project area. They are not required to complete all activities in the manuals. Parents are encouraged to help the Exploring 4-H'er choose the activities that interest them.
To learn about the 14 Exploring 4-H Projects and/or get a copy of an Exploring Manual, visit the Exploring 4-H Projects page. If you need information on where to find supplies visit the Exploring 4-H Supplies page. Exhibit requirements are located on the Exploring 4-H Requirements page.
