4-H Public Speaking and Demonstration Contests

The 2012 4-H Public Speaking and Demonstration contests will be held on Friday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Fair Office Board Room. Entry forms are available below or at the Extension office, and are due on May 1st.

For both contests, there are three grade categories: Clover, grades 3-5; Junior, grades 6-8; and Senior, grades 9-12. Junior and Senior contestants can move on to compete at the Indiana State Fair in August.

The theme for the Public Speaking contest is “4-H: The Revolution of Responsibility”

The Demonstration contests have 9 categories: Livestock; Color, Texture & Design; Animals for Pleasure; Team; Foods; Mechanical Science and Safety; Natural Resources; Plants; and General.

PowerPoint visuals may be used with both Public Speaking and Demonstration presentations.
